Government Jobs

There is no single database of city, county, and state government jobs.

Your government job search should include the official sites of the government agencies in your area.  There are also school districts, transportation authorities, municipal utilities, ports, and airports which may be listed as separate agencies.  Most commercial websites charge for civil service job listings and government agencies don’t always have the money to list all job openings.

Municipal utilities offer some of the best government job opportunities.

Utilities provide a service that everyone needs (water and/or power) and their rate setting process typically provides job security.  Plus, you may receive the same or better job and retirement benefits as you would receive from a typical government agency.  Find job openings near you.
